Evaluation Question 4
Who would be the audience for
your media product?
This is Dan Inglis. He is 19 years old and lives just outside of Bristol. He wears mostly non-branded clothes but that are still fashionable, however he sometimes wears clothes from Topman, Burton and Jack Jones when he goes out.
He is currently on a gap year between college and university and works at a local pub as bar staff, he earns annually around £7,000, he enjoys spending this money going to local gigs with his friends and travelling around the UK. As he earns a decent amount of money for his age Dan is able to afford an iPhone 5s and a Samsung Notebook.
He mainly listens to radio shows such as Huw Stephens, Greg James, Phil Taggart and local Introducing shows so he gets to hear undiscovered music in his area. He enjoys a mix of well-known music and music from bands that are just starting out like; Paulo Nutini, Bombay
Bicycle Club, Bob Dylan, Coasts, The 1975, Modest Mouse, By The Rivers. A mix
of indie, rock, acoustic and reggae.
He watches films such as Her, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Grand
Budapest Hotel, Night Crawler, Interstellar. A mix of big blockbusters and
indie films.
In his spare time Dan likes to visit open mic nights,
play guitar, watch films (online – Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV,
illegally), read books & magazines, listen to music, play football every now and
then.
TV shows he likes to watch include - Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Sherlock, Luther, E4
comedy, football. Channels mostly watched – BT Sport, Channel 4, BBC 1, E4, Sky
channels.
In the psychographic table he would be called an Explorer as
he would be the first to try new bands and new music, he likes to experience
adventures – festivals, travelling, walks.
Fits in to the C2 – E demographic.
